My name is Chelsea and I'm 26 years old. I was born and raised in Michigan and moved out to California after graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in Screen Arts and Cultures. I initially set out to work in the film industry behind the camera and spent the next few years as a camera assistant. The work was sporadic and I began babysitting/nannying part time to fill in the gaps. In the meantime, I realized that maybe, just maybe, the film industry and I weren't meant to be together for the long haul. In the fewest words possible, our personalities clashed. Big time. But you don't know until you try. So what next? Then, as the universe likes to do, I was suddenly faced with an offer I couldn't refuse. Care for a 2 year old girl and her twin brothers about to be born any day? Get paid to do something you love? I was so in. And believe me when I say, it has been a match made in heaven. I've always loved children and dreamed of having my own since I was young. I guess you could say I'm the nurturing type. And while I cannot wait to be a mom and raise my own kids someday, right now I am perfectly content handing over the three little scamps at 6pm everyday and flying free (well, not entirely free, I have a Boston Terrier named Chopper who demands a lot of attention and will most likely make his way on here more often than not.) But yes, nanny extraordinaire by day and, well, something entirely different by night....but we'll save that for another blog.
